Peruvian Culinary Revolution With Gaston Acurio

Peruvian cuisine has two stages: before Gaston Acurio and after Gaston Acurio.

Son of an attorney and Peruvian parliamentary, at age 17, Acurio traveled to Europe to study law, but in France he knew her wife, Astrid Gutsche , with whom he returns at the end of the decade of eighty to Lima turned into a cheff that did his first letter of the menu entirely in French in the first restaurant that he itself installed to beginnings of the decade of ninety.

As President of the Peruvian Society of Gastronomy, promotes and creates the International Food Fair of Lima, with the name “Mistura”. The Fair is a unique culinary event, a mix of flavors and traditions of Peru, where the then-known national chefs join the popular chefs

“Mistura”is the largest food fair in Latin America and offers the opportunity to all visitors, to know and enjoy Peruvian food.
